DESOTO PARISH, La. (KSLA/Gray News) - Authorities in Louisiana identified the older man who was found dead in his home Monday morning as winter weather impacted much of the United States. Alvin Mayweather was found dead in his DeSoto Parish-area home along with at least one of his pets, the sheriff’s office said.

DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office Press Release - Multiple Narcotics Arrests
Sheriff Jayson Richardson wanted to notify the public of two narcotics arrests after multiple complaints were received. Agents conducted an undercover operation involving the distribution of methamphetamine in the Logansport area. During the operation, Agents were able to identify Annie Louise Murray (W/F – DOB: 07/29/1981) of Joaquin, TX as being one of the dealers transporting suspected methamphetamine from Joaquin into Logansport.
